Water is Life: The healing effects are right there in your bathroom

Posted by Shannon Davenport on

Its flowing, ever-changing nature is a constant inspiration for our existence; and its resiliency is symbolic and as pure as it gets. Our bathing rituals are based on the principles of greatness that water holds.

Scientifically and spiritually, water holds some of the greatest power on Earth. It covers more than 70% of the planet and up to 78% of our human bodies.

It's frequently the subject of religious and spiritual events, and for good reason. Its ability to cleanse, wash away, and hydrate has held significance in human consciousness since the beginning of time. Its flowing, ever-changing nature is a constant inspiration for our existence; and its resiliency is symbolic and as pure as it gets.

Hydrotherapy, or the practice of using water as a healing practice, is a historical practice that dates back to 19th century Europe, and probably earlier. In modern times, hydrotherapy is used to treat a variety of ailments in the body and is great for joints, muscles, and more due to its buoyant and weightless nature. Water and hydrotherapy's peacefulness is also known to benefit emotional and mental health—a major reason why we consider baths to be our personal hydrotherapy sessions.

Find the healing effects of water right there in your bathroom. Whether a bath or a shower, let the waves run over you, play with the temperature, and see how you feel afterward.
