Alda Leung, Creative Director at Andie Swim

If you’ve seen Andie Swim’s viral campaigns with Sydney Sweeney, Demi Moore and Mindi Kaling, you’ve seen the wanderlust-filled work of this week's Naked Truth feature, Alda Leung — the swimwear label's Creative Director. The Brooklyn-based creative’s keen eye for detail brings the spirit of adventure to life in every shoot. But when she’s not busy jetting off to dream beach destinations for work, she escapes to her bathtub. We sat down with Alda to hear more about how she creates time and space for herself. That is, when she gets the chance to sneak away from her toddler.

Let’s start with learning about your bathing essentials…

Q: How often do you soak? Are you a religious bather or is it more of a special treat?
A: I have a toddler so it's difficult to set time for myself at the end of the day, it's definitely more of a special treat. I need to treat myself more often!

Q: What’s your favorite form of entertainment in the bath?
A: I love listening to music and if I have the attention span, read a book.

Q: What is your bathing beverage of choice?
A: Nope, not for me I don't love to drink and bathe.

Q: Name a few songs on your perfect bath playlist.
A: Depends on my mood, but I'm always down to sing and bathe to Adele

Q: What are your post-bath essentials? Is there a cozy Andie Swim piece that you can’t live without?
A: I love my Andie Swim Waffle Robe. Nothing feels better than getting into something cozy after a bath.

It's time to dive into the Naked Truth.

Q: How often do you take a shower or bath?

A: I shower every other day.

Q: How long do you spend in the shower?
A: As long as I can... before my toddler knocks on the door.

Q: If you could take a bath anywhere in the world, where would you?
A: A bath outside in a jungle but sans mosquitoes, please!

Q: Do you have a specific bodycare ritual that you can’t live without?
A: I started using religiously using the Esker Bodycare Discovery Set that you guys gave me!

Q: Andie’s dreamy photoshoots definitely give us wanderlust. Whether you’re traveling for shoots or for vacay, what bodycare or bathing rituals do you bring with you on your trips?
A: We just went to Miami for our last shoot. I actually brought my Esker Bodycare Set and Sparkling Bath Salts on trip, and I gave myself a luxurious bath the morning of shoot day. Taking that time to relax before work made me feel extra calm for the day. It's all about finding those moments!

The Magnesium Bath Enhancer is a different kind of product. It's a concentrated liquid made with magnesium chloride (a form the skin takes up far more efficiently than sulfate), paired with a blend of naturally occurring plant terpenes that help carry the minerals deeper through the skin barrier.

The Complete Guide to Dry Brushing & Body Exfoliation

Dry brushing is exactly what it sounds like: you take a brush with natural, stiff bristles and brush your dry skin in long, sweeping strokes before you shower. It's one of the oldest forms of body exfoliation — versions of it have been practiced in Ayurvedic medicine, ancient Greek bathhouses, and Japanese bathrooms for centuries.
